NATIONAL BIKE TO WORK DAY
The month of May is National Bike Month. National Bike to Work Day takes place on the third Friday in May.
A growing number of various bicycle-related events will be held in communities nationwide during National Bike Month which includes National Bike To Work Day.
National Bike to Work Day promotes the bicycle as a healthy and safe alternative for commuting to work.

Sun City Splash & Dash is an exciting swim-run event for kids 7-15 years old! The race will start with a swim portion in Ascarate Pool and then take participants on a run around Ascarate Lake. The entire course is closed for the safety of all participants.
Following the race, participants and their families are invited to swim and enjoy the morning at the family pool party! Space is limited, so please register early!
Age 7-10: 100m swim * 1k Run
Age 11-15: 200m swim * 2….
Held under permit from the US Forest Service and race is held on US Forest Service land. Permitted by USA Cycling.

400 yard swim – 12 mile bike – 5K run
Eagle in the Sun Triathlon begins with a 400-yard swim in the Socorro ISD Aquatic Center. Participants then ride on a mostly flat 12-mile bike loop and run 5K run through the nearby neighborhood. The race ends in the Socorro ISD stadium, where athletes enjoy a victory lap around the football field before crossing the finish line.
